There’s a new a Humble Bundle from a Japanese publisher, meaning I naturally can’t access it from my current IP address. Thanks a lot, Japanese entertainment laws! However, it’s still one you might want to check out. Capcom is the star this time around, and many games from its legendary franchises are available for super cheap.

At the $1 tier, the publisher has three serviceable games up for grabs. Strider is my favorite of the bunch as a solid reboot of the classic arcade action side-scroller. On the other hand, DmC is a controversial game with gameplay that far supersedes its questionable creative decisions. And then there is Umbrella Corps, the Resident Evil ultiplayer shooter that never quite caught on.

The average tier price, which is $7.50 as of writing, is where the bundle starts to take off. At this tier, you can pick up the remasters of both Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0, the former of which is one of the best in the series. The latter? It has its fans. Dead Rising 2: Off the Record is also a game at this tier, which is a solid stand-alone expansion of the main game.

However, I wouldn’t stress too much about Resident Evil 6 or any Umbrella Corps expansions.

The $12 tier has both the full Dead Rising 2 game and Dead Rising 3 – Apocalypse Edition.

Want my advice? The best game in the bundle is the Resident Evil Remaster at the average tier. That is essential gaming and something everybody should experience at least once. Dead Rising 2 is also a solid investment for $12. You have until July 25 to place your orders, so there’s plenty of time to consider all options.
